Federal High Court strikes out suit seeking to remove Mu'azu f

Bamangar Tukur’s hope of returning as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party will not be realized at least for the time being.

A federal high court has dismissed the suit seeking the removal of the incumbent, Adamu Mu’azu and re-instatement of Mr. Tukur to the office he resigned from more than ten months ago.

The suit is hinged on the ground that the appointment of Mr. Mu’azu violates the constitution of the PDP

The court held that the plaintiff, Aliyu Gurin lacks the locus standi to institute the suit. And threw away Mr. Tukur’s counter claim as being strange in law.

An award of three hundred thousand naira was given by the court in favour of the PDP, the Chairman and INEC.
