David Beckham will mark 10 years working with UNICEF by playing seven football matches across seven continents to raise even more money for the charity.
The former England captain announced this month that he will lead a Great Britain XI against a Rest of the World team captained by Zinedine Zidane at Old Trafford, but that’s not the end of his charitable plans.
“I want a world where children can grow up safe from violence, free from poverty and protected from preventable diseases,” said Beckham of his work with the United Nation’s children’s charity
“This match gives me the perfect opportunity to raise awareness and vital funds to help reach the children who need it most.”
Beckham is expected to appear in Uganda and Papua New Guinea, with a documentary following his tour expected to be broadcast by the BBC.
