Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has indirectly dared club owner, Roman Abramovich to fire him, after his team were beaten 3-1 by Southampton on Saturday night.
The Blues took the lead thanks to Willian’s splendid free-kick, but the Saints fought back through Steven Davis, Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle, to inflict defeat on Mourinho’s men, worsening Chelsea’s misery this season.
In his typical defiant style, Mourinho said after the game, “I am not running away. If the club wants to sack me, they have to sack me. I am more than convinced we will finish in top four.”
“If they sack me, they sack the best manager Chelsea have ever had.”
Last season’s EPL Manager of the Year also blasted the referees for not being bold to award them decisions.
“We have to be honest, the referees are afraid to give Chelsea decisions. I don’t care if I get punished by the FA,” he added.
