The Weeknd; Sex Drugs ‘n’ R’n’B Covers November Issue Of Rolling Stone Magazine

The Weeknd whose real name is Abel Tesfaye; a 25-year-old Canadian singer  is on the November cover of iconic music magazine Rollingstone.
During his interview, The Weeknd who released his debut album “Beauty Behind the Madness” gives his fans a clearer glimpse into who he is, and of course discusses his mind boggling hair.

Here are some point made from his interview.

1. He was kicked out of high school at 17 and used to do crossword puzzles to improve his vocabulary. Till today he’s still a bit insecure about not finishing school
   Rapper, Drake who is also fellow Canadian is one of his closest friends in the music industry. He said “I will always be thankful — if it wasn’t for the light he shined on me, who knows where I’d be.”
2. The ‘cant feel my face’ crooner talked about what we are all dying to understand, his hair; which is by far his  recognisable feature. His hair can be divided into roughly four sectors, each with its own distinct personality. According to him it’s not difficult to maintain, he however wakes up with neck pains sometimes.
3. The iconic hairstyle of his which he began growing four years ago was inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat. Funky haired Abel has zero intentions of cutting his hair because he want to stand out and be different. “I want to be remembered as iconic and different, so I was like, ‘Fuck it — I’m gonna let my hair just be what it wants. I’ll probably cut it if it starts interfering with my sight. But if I cut it, I’d look like everyone else. And that’s just so boring to me.
4. He and model Bella Hadid have been dating since April, 2014. He got her a puppy called Hendrix for her 19th birthday
5. The Weeknd had initially asked Bella to be on the artwork for his  Beauty Behind the Madness but she declined. The proud boyfriend says he loves how hardworking she is, and how close she is with her family.
6. Anyone who has listened to The Weeknd knows that he attributes his interest in music to late pop icon Michael Jackson, he even did a fantastic cover of one of  his greatest hits Dirty Diana.
7. Though Canadian, Weeknd’s mum is from Ethiopia, she migrated to Canada to live with her mother who raised him.
8. He is an only child and a mama’s boy. He always wanted a sibling, so much so that he used to lie about having a brother.
9. He doesnt know his dad, just that his name is Makkonen. His dad left him and his mother when he  was about a year or two.
10. He used to rap under the name Kin Kaine (Abel = kin to Cain.)
11. The Weeknd who sang the soundtrack for the movie  50 Shades of Grey lost his virginity when he was 16 to an older girl. He described the drunken experience as the worst in his life.
