Sunday Oliseh to appear before House of Representatives Over Resignation

Resigned Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh will appear before the House of Representatives committee on sports next Thursday in Abuja to shed light on his sensational resignation as head coach of the Super Eagles.
The former Eagles skipper is expected to expose the behind-the-scenes dealings at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and other factors that brought his stint with the side to an untimely end, according to insiders.

The development is already said to be making Glass House top shots jittery, as the outspoken Oliseh, who has already threatened to expose the NFF, will be all too eager to open a ‘can of worms’ in the nation’s capital.
“Oliseh has been invited by the committee on sports. He is to give his own side of his resignation story,” a senior NFF official said.
Another said: “You know Oliseh, he will not hold back anything, he will give details of how some top officials made sure they frustrated him because they were not the ones who facilitated his appointment. You should expect him to shoot from the lips.”
The 41-year-old former midfielder has already publicly taken a swipe at his former employers for failing to support him while he was in charge of the Super Eagles. He also went on about how his contract was repeatedly breached by his employers and complained about delays in payment of salaries and other entitlements due his team.
However, NFF officials are said to frown at the development, arguing that it constitutes a major distraction ahead of the crucial Afcon 2017 qualification doubleheader against the Pharaohs of Egypt this month.
