INEC chairman appoints three aides

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, on Tuesday in Abuja announced the appointment of three new aides.

The commission stated this in its bulletin, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent.
The appointees are Prof. Bolade Eyinla, who has been appointed as the Chief Technical Adviser; Prof. Mohammed Kuna as the Special Assistant to the INEC boss and and Mr. Rotimi Oyekanmi, who has been named as Yakubu’s Chief Press Secretary.

Until his appointment, Eyinla was a professor of History at the University of Ilorin and was also a National Election expert at the UNDP-DGD.

Kuna, until his appointment, was a professor of Political Sociology at the Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto and a former Special Assistant to the former INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, while Oyekanmi was a senior editorial staff of The Guardian newspaper.
