Match commissioner of Ikorodu vs Kano Pillars NPFL game found dead

Mr Tanko Nuru who was the match commissioner in Sunday’s Nigerian football League match between Kano Pillars and Ikorodu United was found dead in his hotel room this morning. Ikorodu United tweeted his death on their official Twitter account.

Nuru, who is from Nassarawa State, performed his duties during the NPFL fixture yesterday May 8th before retiring to his hotel room where he was found dead this morning by hotel staff.
The cause of Nuru’s death is still unknown as at press time.
