Abuja Airport reconstruction of runway 75% complete

 The Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, on Tuesday announced that the rehabilitation of the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja has reached seventy-five percent completion.

Contractor remanded in prison over alleged theft of N97 Million college project fund (Details)

 An Osun State High Court has remanded a contractor, John Ojemuyiwa, in prison over alleged theft of about N97 million meant for the construction of an amphitheatre at the State College of Education, Ila-Orangun.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal office, on Monday dragged the accused alongside his company, Digitpro Engineering Technology Ltd, before the court in Ede.
Mr. Ojemuyiwa was charged with stealing and giving of gratification to public officers. He however pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge.

British Government to reveal Nigerian property owners in 2018

 The British Government will reveal to the FG information about Nigerians who own property in that country next year, a presidential aide has said.

Prof. Bolaji Owosanoye, Executive Secretary, Presidential Advisory Committee against Corruption, told the correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in New York that negotiations on this had reached an advanced stage.
Owosanoye said the measure being taken by the governments of both countries was a “huge” step in the fight against corruption.

Police re-arraign Seun Egbegbe and four others

 The police, for the third time, have re-arraigned a Lagos-based film-maker, Olajide Kazeem, popularly known as Seun Egbegbe, and his alleged accomplice, Oyekan Ayomide, for alleged serial frauds involving N39, 098,100, $90,000 and £12,550.
