Family of cancer patient Paul Arisa deny that Abia State Govt is flying him abroad for treatment

The family of cancer patient Paul Arisa have denied reports sent out yesterday that the Abia state governor have pledged to take up his medical treatment and fly him abroad for surgery.

They say the governor only donated N1million to Paul and nothing more..and that only N400k out of the promised N1m was given to them. The family is still seeking help from well meaning Nigerians. They are currently working on Paul’s papers to fly him to India for surgery.

The Supreme Court has upheld the death sentence handed down the Senior Pastor of the Christian Praying Assembly, Lagos, Rev. Chukwuemeka Ezeugo aka Reverend King by the Lagos state Court of Appeal. Reverend King had approached the apex court after the Lagos state Court of Appeal on January 11th 2007 upheld the ruling of the state High court sentencing him to death by hanging for the murder of one of his church members, Ann Uzoh on August 2nd 2006.

Policemen from the Oko-Oba division in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area of Lagos State last Sunday February 21st arrested the General Overseer of the Victorious Sacred Solemn Healing and Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Oluwaseyi Idowu, for allegedly impregnating two sisters.

We Will Fly With Goodluck Jonathan’s Good Ideas, Says Amaechi

Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation, says the current administration will not “abandon the good ideas” of previous governments, including that of former president, Goodluck Jonathan.

Amaechi said this at Idu, Abuja, on Thursday, while inspecting the Abuja-Kaduna Rail project along with the contractors, China Civil Engineering Construction Company. He said N150 billion would be used to execute the national rail project, with another N60 billion for the Lagos-Kano standard gauge and yet another N60 billion for the Lagos-Calabar project.

The House of Representatives yesterday Feb. 24th directed its Committees on Petroleum Upstream and Public Procurement to investigate an alleged $260 million dollars oil contract awarded by the National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.

Osun Ibile Forum has warned the new chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff over his threat against former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode.

In a statement signed by its Coordinator , Prince Adeoluwa Adesegun ,the group said Chief Fani-Kayode’s statement on Boko Haram was already in public domain,wondering why Senator Sheriff should issue personal warning on an issue already of public knowledge.
