When news broke that one of Nigeria’s favourite music Duo KC Presh parted ways in mid-2011 after a partnership of over 12 years, fans and critics thought that was the end of the rising career of the segemenge crooners. A year later one half of the duo KCee made return to mainstream music with hits after hits like Limpopo, Pull Over, and Okpete, and the big question on the lips of everyone was,
Where is Presh?

ABUBAKAR SHEKAU
The leader of Boko Haram, a militant Islamist movement based in Nigeria that has made numerous threats against the United States, claimed responsibility for kidnapping nearly 300 schoolgirls in April 2014. Six months later, he promised to release the girls as part of a cease-fire agreement with the Nigerian government, but went back on his word. He said the girls had become Muslims and that Boko Haram had "married them off." Other kidnappings and terrorist acts followed. The United States designated Boko Haram a terrorist organization in 2013.

Photo-- The General Overseer That Paid Kidnappers N2m To Murder Okigwe LG Chairman Finally Revealed

The General Overseer of the Kingdom of God Conscious Movement International, 65-year-old Rev Lord Ojee also known as Nduwusi Kanu is now cooling off in police cell after being fingered as the mastermind of the kidnap and murder of the former Chairman of Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State, Hon. Godwin Igbo who was 70-year-old at the time of the incident.  The cleric was said to have hired a gang of kidnappers for a fee of N2m, out of which he made an initial deposit of N50,000 for the abduction of Igbo over an alleged land dispute and chieftaincy title
of Eze Agu Nechenba 1 of Ikpoeze 1 of Arondizuogu community in Imo State.

The operation, which went awry, led to the death of the former council boss who was thereafter buried in a shallow grave in a thick forest at Lokpanta, Abia State by his abductors.

Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson has mastered a disappearing act since shooting

One morning late last month, a St. Louis courtroom filled up with prosecutors, lawyers and press who wondered if they’d catch a glimpse of a vanished man.

The man, police officer Darren Wilson, hadn’t been seen in public since Aug. 9, when he shot and killed an unarmed black teenager and found himself in a wave of national fury. But here, at this unrelated preliminary hearing, Wilson had incentive to appear. He’d been asked to show up to provide testimony against an alleged low-level drug dealer — somebody he’d wrestled to the ground and handcuffed 20 months earlier, in an arrest that won him a Ferguson city commendation. Now Wilson just had to recount the story to a judge.

The courtroom players took their places for just one in a series of rapid-fire hearings. A few minutes passed. The judge called the defense attorney and prosecutor into whispering range, and soon it became clear: Wilson wasn’t going to show, his absence emblematic of a remarkable period in which the central character of an explosive national story has gone totally dark. Judge Mary Schroeder then dismissed the drug case for what she called a “failure to prosecute.”

Gecko Gloves Let Scientist Climb Sheer Glass Walls

An American engineer has made a pair of gloves inspired by geckos’ feet that could allow him to climb glass buildings, bringing super-hero fantasy closer to reality.

Mechanical engineer Elliot Hawkes of Stanford University developed the gloves, which are designed to support a person’s weight, by mimicking the sticky pad of a gecko’s feet.

Rather than sticking to the surface, the gloves use friction to hold the wearer in place by increasing the surface area of the gloves with hair-like nanofibers. Hawkes and his colleagues are the first to successfully develop a material that could function in this way.

Republicans challenge Obama’s executive actions, file lawsuit over Obamacare

The political war over President Obama’s controversial policy changes on deportation escalated Friday as the White House pledged to forcefully sell the overhauls to the American people, while many Republicans vowed to derail his efforts.

Obama went to Nevada Friday to begin what the White House described as a “very aggressive” effort to promote the changes but also to chide his Republican critics for opposing immigration reform.

“We’re not a nation that kicks out strivers and dreamers who want to earn their piece of the American dream,” Obama said. “We didn’t raise the Statue of Liberty with her back to the world. We did it with her light shining.”

Calm urged as Ferguson grand jury nears decision

Activists, authorities and the family of Michael Brown called for calm as a grand jury drew closer to an announcement in the Ferguson police shooting. But it was unclear whether the panel was still at work or when it would render a decision.

Earlier Friday, a spokesman for St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch told reporters that the grand jury weighing whether to indict officer Darren Wilson was still in session. Five hours later, Ed Magee declined to say whether the panel was still meeting.

The time, date and place for a news conference announcing the decision has not been decided, Magee said.

Wilson, 28, reportedly told the grand jury that he feared for his life on Aug. 9 as Brown, who was 6-foot-4 and nearly 300 pounds, came at him. Some witnesses said Brown was trying to surrender and had his hands up.

"It's completely illogical & ridiculous"-Bill Cosby's Lawyer Releases Statement on Rape Allegations

As more women come forward with rape allegations against Bill Cosby, his lawyers have released a new statement, rubbishing the allegations..The statement by his lawyer  Martin Singer, reads

“The new, never-before-heard claims from women who have come forward in the past two weeks with unsubstantiated, fantastical stories about things they say occurred 30, 40, or even 50 years ago have escalated far past the point of absurdity.
These brand new claims about alleged decades-old events are becoming increasingly ridiculous, and it is completely illogical that so many people would have said nothing, done nothing, and made no reports to law enforcement or asserted civil claims if they thought they had been assaulted over a span of so many years.

Lawsuits are filed against people in the public eye every day. There has never been a shortage of lawyers willing to represent people with claims against rich, powerful men, so it makes no sense that not one of these new women who just came forward for the first time now ever asserted a legal claim back at the time they allege they had been sexually assaulted.

Beyonce Opens Up About Her Parents Divorce In New Song ‘RIng Off’

Beyonce in a file photo

When it was announced, the title of Beyonce’s new song “Ring Off” was widely interpreted as a potential explanation of the ongoing rumors around her marriage to Jay Z. What the singer has produced instead is a moving tribute to her mother, Tina.

“Ring Off” is one of two new songs on the re-release of Beyoncé (both are streaming at Spin). That album’s middle-of-the-night release last year was almost as surprising as its complex, adult themes, dealing with themes of marriage and motherhood. Beyoncé was about, well, Beyoncé, within the context of her relationship. “Ring Off” expands the focus, addressing “Mama” in the first verse and telling her “I understand your many sleepless nights / When you sit and you think about Father / Or how you tried to be the perfect wife.”

Scientists have identified a ‘singleton gene’ that could be to blame for your loneliness.

Chinese scientists at Peking University in Beijing studied several variants of a human gene that could affect relationships between people. They focused on a gene called 5-HTA1 in hair samples from almost 600 students, which affects levels of the mood hormone, serotonin.

One version of the gene, the C variant, leads to higher levels of serotonin than the other form, the G variant. Everyone has two copies of the gene, and inherits two of the C variant, two of the G variant, or one of each, depending on the type passed down from each parent.
