Freeze reveals that UNILAG student with 5.0 CGPA is about to be evicted from his home over rent

Freeze Cool FM took to instagram last night to write about Ayodele Daniel Dada, the UNILAG student who got a 5.0 CGPA, revealing that the student is about to be evicted from his home and asked people to come to his aide. Tambuwal orders investigation into abduction of 14-yr-old girl in Sokoto

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State has directed the state’s Human Rights Commission to wade into the alleged abduction of a 14-year-old Miss Patience Paul, on August 12, 2015,Vanguard reports.
The governor’s directive came against the backdrop of reports of forcible abduction of the Benue-born girl, who was alleged to be held in the palace of the Sultan.

The governor, in a statement by his spokesman, Malam Imam Imam, said the commission should conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and report to him. The statement read:

Three different incidents in the last week cast, poignantly, in bold relief the plight of the girl-child in Nigeria. Thanks to The Punch newspaper which launched the #FreeEse, #JusticeforEse campaign and the civil society groups that took up the fight in a spirited manner. With the outrage and outcry that followed, within 72 hours, this same 14-year old girl who was abducted from Yenagoa, Bayelsa state and taken to Kano, seven months ago, by one Yinusa Dahiru alias Yellow, is now free.

A member of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ejigbo, Lagos, has been arrested for allegedly stealing money from the church’s offering box. The suspect, identified simply as Kingsley, was apprehended by the church’s private guards Tuesday and N5,000, which he allegedly stole, recovered from him. Preliminary investigation showed that Kingsley had earlier been arrested for same offence. He had gone to church on Tuesday for the regular morning mass.

Ace producer Swizz Beatz today shared Videos of his son playing the instrumentals for the song and also said he didn’t assist his son during the production.

This is possible and has been the reality at the Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter in Georgia for the past 15 years. Baloo the American black bear, Leo the African lion and Shere Khan the Bengal tiger were all rescued by the animal shelter when they were less than one year old and kept at the Georgia animal shelter to live together…and that has resulted in the most unlikely friendship. Aged 95, the deceased is survived by six children among whom are Alhaji Sama’ila Umar, the Madaki of Ganduje, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Gov. of Kano State and Alhaji Hussaini Umar Ganduje, the Executive Secretary of Kano State Teachers Board among others.

She will be buried according to Islamic rite at Ganduje town by 2.00pm after Friday prayers.

Court denies Badeh’s bail application

A Federal High Court in Abuja denied the bail application filed by former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh. Badeh is being detained by the EFCC over allegations of diverting N3.9billion Nigeria Airforce Funds while he was in office. He was arrested by EFCC operatives on February 8th. Badeh will be arraigned on March 7th.

South African Mobile Telecommunications company MTN say they have set aside $600m to settle its dispute with the Nigerian government. Relations of another missing 14-year-old girl, Patience Paul, have alleged that the primary six pupil of Mohammed Zako Model Primary School, Sokoto, may have been abducted and housed at the palace of the Sultan of Sokoto.

Father of the girl, Mr. Paul Adaji, an indigene of Ochobo in Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State, told Vanguard on phone that his daughter had been missing since August 12, 2015. Adaji, who resides in Sokoto with his family, alleged that some persons spotted his daughter at the Sultan’s palace. He said:

Delta State Govt. announces temporary closure of Asaba International Airport

Executive Governor of Delta State, Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa said on Wednesday that the Asaba International Airport will be closed down temporarily, when work on the runway reached an advanced stage.

The governor spoke when he inspected the ongoing construction work at the airport runway.

He expressed satisfaction on the work done, adding that the contractor would handle the work in three phases.

A female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) attached to the National Assembly narrowly escaped being raped on Thursday.

The fair complexioned lady was seen crying profusely at the White House wing of the National Assembly complex at about 5:45pm, she told passers-by at the Senate wing of the White House that she narrowly escaped being raped.

According to City News, A yet to be identified man, lodged in the brothel the previous night and was suspected to have slept in the same room with the deceased. A source alleged that the man checked out of the brothel on that fateful day before the corpse of the prostitute was discovered lying naked on the floor inside the room.
