Katy Perry Launches Line of Matte Lipsticks With CoverGirl

Katy Perry is launching her first CoverGirl makeup collection, the cosmetics company and “TGIF” singer announced on Friday, April 15.

Designed by Perry in collaboration with the brand, the Katy Kat Collection boasts 13 matte lipsticks (with Perry-perfect names like Crimson Cat, Purrsian Pink and Kitty Purry) and four mascaras, including the brand’s first-ever electric blue mascara.

First Lady Michelle Obama on the most recent Seventeen Magazine issue gives advice on what to do if you don’t know what to study in college/university.

Michelle launched the ‘Better Make Room’ campaign to encourages teenagers to work hard in high school so they can shine in college.

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Chief Osita Okechukwu has called for the prosecution of former minister of finance during the former President Goodluck Jonathan’s tenure, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala over the current plight of Nigerians.

Okechukwu made the call while reacting to a statement in which the former minister purportedly, indicted the former president, describing the statement as a confession of guilt.

Lagos State Government to construct additional Pedestrian Bridge in Ojota within 3 months

The Lagos State Government on Thursday said it would construct an additional footbridge at Ojota bus-stop on Ikorodu Road to complement the existing one following the upsurge in its usage.

The state’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde, said in a statement that the decision arose out of the need to reduce the long time pedestrians using the bridge were now spending on queue –. He said the construction of the additional bridge had become necessary after the newly erected New Jersey Wall on the median of the expressway.

According to Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe who represents Abia South Senatorial District in the senate, many senators turned down the Gender Equal Opportunities Bill because they feared it will turn some women to prostitutes and lesbians.

The bill which was turned down by the senate on March 15th, was designed to address women’s freedom of movement, female economic activity, girls’ access to education, equal rights for women in marriage, divorce, property/land ownership and inheritance, appropriate measures against gender discrimination in political and public life and prohibitions of violence to women.

Brussels attacks suspects face first day in court

Belgian judge on Thursday ordered Mohamed Abrini and six other suspects arrested in connection with the attacks in Paris and Brussels kept behind bars for another month, prosecutors said.

Abrini has admitted being the "man in the hat" seen leaving Brussels Airport the morning of March 22, when two suicide bombers detonated explosives-laden suitcases there, killing 16.
