BREAKING: Chief Of Army Staff Escapes Assassination Attempt In Kaduna

At least seven people died in Zaria, Kaduna state, following a clash between soldiers and members of a Shiite Muslim sect.

Vanguarad reports the clash involved the convoy of Lt-Gen. Tukur Buratai, the chief of army staff, and the Shiites.

The National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has expressed optimism that the lingering fuel scarcity will be over before Christmas, which is about two weeks away.
