9-Year Old Girl Raped To Death In Delta (Photo)

James IsaA 9-year-old girl was raped to death by yet to be identified persons in Elele Community of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The girl whose name was simply given as Miracle was abducted at about 5 pm on Wednesday, 13 January by yet to be identified rapists while returning from an errand for her mother.

2 People Confirm Dead From Lassa Fever and 30 People Quarantined In Ondo State,

Two people have died in Ondo state following an outbreak of Lassa fever in the state. 30 people who had contact with the victims when alive, have been quarantined in order to curtail any further spread.

The state Commissioner for Health, Dayo Adeyanju, and a team of health workers had since Wednesday been moving across the local governments of the state to raise awareness on the disease and educate residents on measures to check the outbreak.

A one-year-old boy is fighting for his life in hospital after falling nearly 40 feet from his fourth-floor bedroom window.

Joshua Cribben, who turns two in April, remains in an induced coma following the plunge at his family home in Thamesmead, south-east London, on January 9.

The governing All Progressives Congress, APC, has dismissed calls by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the impeachment of President Muhammadu Buhari following the controversy surrounding the 2016 Appropriation Bill.

The PDP acting national chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, in a statement yesterday, called on the National Assembly to commence impeachment proceedings against the president for submitting two different versions of the 2016 budget proposal, which it said was a clear constitutional breach.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Thursday disclosed that erstwhile Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Board of Trustees, Anthony Anenih, benefited from the N400million allegedly received by the party’s spokesman, Olisa Metuh.

The EFCC accused Metuh of receiving the N400million from “an unlawful activity” of the immediate past National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.
