Chelsea has done well to win the Premier League title for the second time in two years, and the club owner Roman Abramovich has done well to grease their palms with part of the largess.
A second half goal by Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi ensured that the Blues did not have to wait for another week before clinching the prestigious title and bragging rights over their league rivals.
It has now emerged that the Chelsea squad will share £5million as bonuses for winning the title, this cash is expected to be shared among all players in the squad by the order of their contributions to the title-winning feat with better rewards for the key players of the team.
However, unused substitutes and non-squad players are expected to share 10% of the total money in a bid to ensure all the players get rewarded for their efforts.
It is understood that Brazilian star, Oscar who left the Stamford Bridge for a stunning move to China will also get a medal for his contribution before making a switch last January transfer window, while John Mikel Obi will not be given a medal due to his non-involvement earlier this season.
