Donald Trump dissolves Advisory Councils as Members Quit

U.S.President Donald Trump has dissolved his business advisory boards – Manufacturing Council and Strategy & Policy Forum.
Trump’s decision came within an hour of reports that members of the Startegy & Policy Forum were planning to disband.

Merck CEO Kenneth Frazier, a black american, was the first to quit the Manufacturing
Council following Trump’s response to the #Charlottesvilleprotests where he equated neo-nazis to counter-protesters at a New York press conference.

Trump replied Merck in under an hour on Twitter. He said:
Now that Ken Frazier of Merck Pharma has resigned from President’s Manufacturing Council, he will have more time to LOWER RIPOFF DRUG PRICES!
Intel‘s CEO Brian Krzanich thereafter announced his departure from the council.

Under Armour‘s CEO Kevin Plank too announced his resignation from the council.
BlackRock‘s CEO Larry Fink also resigned.

Trump, who had earlier said he would replace members leaving the council, Tweeted on Tuesday, that he is dissolving both groups.
