14 Internally Displaced Persons Test Positive To HIV In Yobe
Fourteen out of the 2,109 Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, screened for HIV in Yobe State, have tested positive to the virus.
Those who tested positive, 10 from Nguru and four from Gashua have all been referred to Anti Retroviral Therapy, ART, at the Federal Medical Center, in Nguru for care and treatments.
The screening was carried out by the National Agency for the Control of AIDS & NACA. Its Project Coordinator, Dr Aminu Fikin, disclosed the exercise was designed to reduce and ultimately eliminate the risk of transmission of HIV in the state, he says the exercise also covered Borno and Adamawa States

A small plane crashed near Tipton Airport in Anne Arundel County, injuring two people.
The Federal Aviation Administration said a Grumman American AA-1 plane went down in the woods near the runway Sunday afternoon shortly after takeoff at 2 p.m. Sunday. The plane was discovered on its side and leaking fuel.
Rescue crews are currently on the scene, attempting to rescue the occupants. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department said two people were onboard and injured. Their identities and conditions have not been released.

On Saturday, February 7, unknown gunmen attacked a police post in Bade village, Jema’a local government area, Kaduna state, killing at least five policemen.

On Thursday in Akure, Ondo State capital, miscreants exchanged blows over the sharing formular to be adopted for the 11 cows crushed to death by a luxurious bus.

Hong Kong Baby Girl Born 'Pregnant' With Twins Undergoes Operation To Remove Fetuses
A baby girl born to mainland parents in Hong Kong was found to be "pregnant" with two tumors in her abdomen which were later found to be the fetuses of twin babies.
The girl, born in Queen Elizabeth Hospital in November 2010, had to undergo surgery at three weeks old to remove the fetuses.
The fetuses, believed to be of 8 to 10 weeks of gestation, each had four limbs, a spine, rib cage, intestines and anus, but were different in weight.
The two fetuses, one weighing 14.2 grams and the other 9.3 grams, each had an umbilical cord connected to a single placenta-like mass.

The Police in Adamawa State have averted what could have been a massive bomb attack as operatives defused 19 high-caliber Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) buried in a bush near Yola, the state capital.
