Photos: Man U kit sponsors, Adidas, mock Van Gaal’s ‘boring’ style of play with new shirts

Sportswear giant, Adidas has mocked Manchester United’s boring style of play this season by releasing some branded tops this week to be sold in the Old Trafford club shop. An Old Trafford staff member told The Sun they were embarrassed to be selling the top on the back of the tepid football currently being played by Van Gaal’s men.
He said: “It only came in a couple of weeks ago. “I can’t believe we are stocking it, it surely is something which should have come out at the the start of the season, rather than after such bad results.” Another photo after the cut. A fan gave a lukewarm reaction to the new item, which also comes in a £45 sweatshirt version.

Ian Mayo, 36, said: “I wouldn’t wear it ,what’s the point of a T-shirt, they should just take action instead and sack the manager.”

Adidas signed a ten-year £750million kit deal with United last summer. But even Adidas’ CEO Herbert Hainer criticised Man u’s style of play. “Business with Man United is going very well ,we are selling more shirts than expected. We are satisfied… even if the current playing style is not exactly what we want to see.”
