Two prospective female members of the National Youth Service Corps have been rejected participating in the Batch ‘A’ 2016 orientation exercise of the corps, following their failure to meet registration requirements.
The NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Habiba Bappah, said this in an interview with SUNDAY PUNCH on Saturday at the Dan Yanmusa Orientation Camp, Keffi.
Bappah said, “We do registration by biometric (capture) but some of them (corps members), especially two women, allowed their husbands to go to the Internet cafĂ© to do the registration for them and they had to (scan their) thumbprints.
“Once they come here for easy thumbprint (scanning), your data will come out and we print it out, but once your husband or brother does it for you, the system rejects it. That was what happened to the two that were rejected.”
