Ex-MLB star Otis Nixon reported missing by Georgia police

Otis Nixon, a former major-league outfielder, was reported missing Sunday by the Woodstock Police Department in Woodstock, Georgia.

According to the Woodstock PD, Nixon was last seen Saturday morning as he left his home in a gray 2011 Range Rover.
WSB-TV Atlanta reports that Nixon never arrived for a scheduled tee time at a local golf course. The former major-leaguer apparently left his home clad in all black and hasn't been heard from since.

In 2013, Nixon was in the news due to an arrest on charges of crack cocaine possession, though he claimed it belonged to his son.

Nixon, 58, played in parts of 17 big-league seasons from 1983 until 1999 with 10 major-league teams. Perhaps best-known for his seasons with the Atlanta Braves, Nixon had a career-best 72 stolen bases in 1991 - his first with the team.
