Unknown group claims responsibility for Dortmund terror attack (Photos)

 Police have intensified investigation on the terror attack on Borussia Dortmund team bus while led to the postponement of their Champions League clash against AS Monaco on Tuesday.

Latest reports from The Sun have it that the Police found a letter around the scene, claiming responsibility for the attack although there are ongoing examination to identify the authenticity of the letter as forensic experts continue to comb the area for more evidences. The report also traced the attack to an unknown vehicle around the scene, with suggestions that the culprit was in the car to detonate the explosive devices.

Speaking about the incident, a Germab spokesman said: “After initial investigation, we assume that this was an attack with serious explosives.”

Recalling the nasty ordeal, Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Bürk said: “The bus turned to the main road, when there was a giant bill – a real explosion.

“After the bang, we all crouched in the bus, who could, laid down on the ground. We did not know if more could happen. ”

The club’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said: “There has been an attack with explosives on the team bus.

“The whole team is in a state of shock, you can’t get pictures like that out of your head.

“I hope the team will be in a position to be able to compete tomorrow on the pitch.

“In a crisis situation like this, Borussia pulls together.”

Former Barcelona defender Marc Barta has undergone a surgery after the attack left him with injuries.
