Read story below;............;
I've heard couple of stories on how some people met the love of their lives on social media, especially our popular Facebook, so I decided to try my luck.
Am not so used to responding to my Facebook messages , but after these testimonies, I had to go back to my Facebook inbox and responded to almost all the messages there.
Fortunately for me, one of the guys called Tony responded and asked for my number, sharply I gave it to him.
Tony called me with a Nigerian number and told me he temporally lives in a Duplex in Maitama Abuja,but his base is Bahamas Island. (oh girl i don hit jackpot) I told him am a corper serving in Lagos.
As at that period, I was recovering from a heartbreak and needed someone to lean on, then Tony came my way, without hesitating, I welcomed him. Tony called me everyday and I responded positively to his calls, then he invited me to Abuja, but I objected the offer and told him to come down to Lagos if he really wants to meet me. However, on a beautiful Monday morning I got a text from him, that he is flying to Port-Harcourt city on a business trip, and is likely to come to Gidi to see me that same day, I agreed on seeing him, but it has to be weekend, because of my job, I told him. Saturday to be precise .
I got a call from Tony at about 8:pm, that he just touched down Lagos, and would be in his aunty's house to welcome his mum, who will be flying in from Asaba the next day, and will be leaving for London in few days. "I would want you to meet Mum and Aunt" he said, "her flight is 10:am on Saturday", i didn't object that after-all.
Fast-forward to Saturday morning, as I told my neighbor about Tony my new found love and begged her to accompany me, she asked me where we were going, immediately I said Ojuelegba by army barracks.
My friend (Desi) called me by my name and said "that guy who lives a duplex in Maitama Abuja, Based in Bahamas Island, told you to come to Ojuelegba to visit him and you agreed, he is fake girl" I said No, He is not fake, he is only being real, he doesn't like flamboyant life styles, that's why he opt to stay at his aunty's place instead of a hotel.
Finally we took off from lekki to Ojuelegba. Prior to that Saturday he told me, he bought a Macbook for me, so i was really looking forward to owning a Macbook.
After Lagos traffic dealt with us, we finally got to our destination (Ojuelegba) a little over 10:am, and he said his Mum's flight just took off. lol. This guy is drop-dead gorgeous shaaa. (women's man)
Oh my Oh my!!, watin my eye see ehh....My mouth no fit talk am.
Tony ushered us into the living room through a very narrow, cranky, dirty, metal looking thing he called stairs, my friend almost threw up as we were climbing. Oh God! See my Bahamas love naw. We finally entered the living room and it was like a deserted place, filled with awful smell and crappy looking furniture. A new baby won't survive there for an hour.
We sat down and he went into the room, brought out a silver old briefcase and kept it close to him, acted as if he wants to open it but relented. In my mind, i said "here comes my Macbook" lol.
Tony didn't even bother offering us anything, because he said he lost his ATM card. ok naw. Communication became difficult being that lies, deceit and disappointment were written all over him. After 20minutes, I told him would like to take our leave, he escorted us down stairs and we boarded a taxi back to base. On our way home, he sent me a text saying, "Why didn't you tell me you were coming with your friend, sorry i forgot to give you the Macbook, come back next-time for it"..(come alone) lol.
When i got home, i got another text from him asking for airtime, he can't do nothing with cash because he misplaced his ATM card. lol (see jonsing), I ignored the text. Finally on Thursday when i passed out, he called me to come to Ojuelegba again, so we two could celebrate my passing out ceremony and I will have to pass the night. At that point, i gave him a Chinese warning, never to try dialing my number in his life.
Few month later, i got a call from my friend, she told me of Tony, that Tony also wrote her on Facebook, telling her he bought me a laptop, and she should also come to Lagos and see him. I can go on and on to write the whole story, but let me stop here.
Morals. Don't do things because others are doing it, what worked for Bola might not work for bukola, thank God he didn't harm us.
All of you evil people perambulating your fake self on social media, looking for whom to dupe, rape, or even kill listen to me. One day na One day, Monkey go go Market, E no go return. (you'll meet your Waterloo)
