Two Nigerian music stars, Wizkid and Yemi Alade has been nominated for the Best International Act (Africa) at the forthcoming BET Awards 2015. This is the second time Wizkid will be nominated for the category after winning it in 2012. Read below;....
Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj lead the BET Awards 2015 with six nominations apiece.
The “Loyal” singer is nominated in categories including Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration, Video of the Year, and the Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award.
Nicki received nods for Best Collaboration, Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, Video of the Year, Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award, and Best Group as a member of Young Money.
Beyoncé and Lil Wayne score four nominations each, while other multiple nominees include Big Sean, Usher, and Sam Smith.
In the coveted Video of the Year category, the nominees include Beyoncé’s “7/11,” Big Sean and E-40’s “I Don’t Fuck With You,” Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, and Tyga’s “Loyal,” Brown, Usher, and Rick Ross’ “New Flame,” Common and John Legend’s “Glory,” and Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda.”
Azealia Banks criticized the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist category, in which she was nominated alongside Nicki Minaj, DeJ Loaf, Iggy Azalea, Tink, and Trina.

The BET Awards will celebrate its 15th anniversary live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 28.
