Looks Like FIFA President Sepp Blatter Has Changed His Mind On Resigning

Reports have it that FIFA president Sepp Blatter, may change his mind on resignation and continue as the boss of the world football governing body. The 79-year-old, according to Swiss media is having a rethink about stepping down, after resigning few days of being re-elected for a fifth term.

Schwiz am Sonntag claims a source close to Blatter disclosed that he “received messages of support from African and Asian football associations” encouraging him to rethink his decision.

Although FIFA is expected to announce December 16th as the date for a new presidential election, Blatter’s former personal adviser told the newspaper that it would be hard to find someone who would equal him.

Domenico Scala, Chairman of FIFA’s audit and ethics committee, has however urged Blatter to stick to his decision, saying that the reforms are the central topic.'
