South Africa’s minister of justice has challenged Oscar Pistorius’ parole and has referred it to the board for further review.
Michael Masutha said the decision to release the double-amputee Olympic athlete had been taken prematurely.
Pistorius has only spent 10 months in jail for shooting dead his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, after his conviction for manslaughter last year – and was due to be released on Friday to serve the rest of his Five years jail term under house.
A move that was however, denied by the court.
