FIFA reveals fresh conditions for Lionel Messi’s case following HUGE ban

World’s football governing body, FIFA could reduce Lionel Messi’s four-match suspension if he appears for the disciplinary hearing.

The incident happened during Argentina’s 1-0 win over Chile in the World Cup qualifiers
The Argentine superstar was handed a four-match ban following his foul-mouthed tirade at match
officials during their World cup qualifier against Chile last month. Messi was also fined £8,000 after video evidence caught him saying “f*** off your mother’s a c***” after the match

Having missed Argentina’s tie against Bolivia, he is also expected to miss the games against against Uruguay, Paraguay and Venezuela unless he appears at the disciplinary hearing

News outlet, La Nacion reported: “Fifa wants Messi to step on Swiss soil and take the picture at his headquarters.

“It is already defined that the punishment will be reduced to two dates”.

The disciplinary hearing is scheduled to hold at FIFA’s headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland on May 4 and it is expected that the Barcelona star will asked to explain reasons for his behaviour which might reduce his severe punishment

Argentina and Barcelona have earlier expressed their ‘outrage’ towards the football authorities for the level of the punishment given to Messi and that might cool off if his ban is reduced.
