It is understood that the football fans
assembled at the centre to watch the second leg of the UEFA Europa
League quarter-final match between Manchester United and Anderlecht on
satellite television when the live electricity cable broke from its
mooring and fell on them.
It was earlier gathered that over 30
people lost their lives, however, an official report from the state
police claimed that the high-tension cable which fell inside the viewing
centre killed only seven people with several others injured.
Manchester United won the match 3-2 aggregate, with Marcus Rashford netting the winner in the 107th minute.
