         Current first lady of Nigeria, Patience Faka Jonathan has revealed her 21 years love journey with President Goodluck Jonathan.

The beautiful 57-year-old woman has revealed how the love she shared with Mr. president president started just as mere likeness. The Portharcourt-born, Bayelsa-Indigene spoke on about what attracted her to the president, and many more.

Linda Ikeji reports that the University of Port Harcourt and Rivers State College of Arts and Science alumna spoke on how they first met while they were at the Rivers state College of Education where she was pursuing her Nigerian Certificate of Education (NCE) and B.Ed. The president was then a lecture at the department of Biological science.

Revealing what attracted her to him, Dame said:

    “My first impression of him was of a tall, dark, handsome young man. I also found that he came from a good Christian home just like I did. His humble and gentle disposition caught my attention and most importantly, his intelligence”.

The lovebirds who got married in 1993 are blessed with 4 children, a son Arewera Adolphus, Daughters Aruabi and Abayola and Faith Sakwe-Edwards, their foster daughter who had a talk-of-the-town-wedding in April.

Talking about what has been the source of bonding for the lovebirds over the 21years, First lady made it known that praying together and discussing everything together has been the secret.

    “Both of us are from Christian homes and our complete trust is in Jesus Christ. We pray together as a family every morning. What keeps us together is that we are each others best friends and soul-mate. We discuss everything that comes up and advice each other accordingly. We depend on each other. We do not let the sun set on our grievances” she said

It would be recalled that just recently, in a bid to support her husband’s second term bid, Patience Jonathan encouraged some Nigerians in an event to vote for her husband as he is the perfect man the counry needs for the next phase.
