SAD: Popular Radio Presenter Dies

Chaz B Popular radio host, Charles Bruce Chukwuma, popularly known as Chaz B has died.

The popular Rhythm Fm radio presenter who was a relationship coach and anchor of ‘Sharing Life Issues’ during his time died early yesterday morning, Saturday,November 22nd from kidney failure; an illness which he has been battling for a long while.
The inspirational, soul serenade speaker was a cousin of the Silverbird Group founder, Ben Bruce. Before his death, Chaz B was the host of the critically acclaimed radio show, ‘Sharing Life Issues With Chaz B,’ which earned him the 2010 best on-air personality in radio award by the Nigeria Media Merit Awards.

The show which was aired on the station every Monday to Friday at 6.15pm “is rated the number one show across the city of Lagos”, according to the Rhythm FM. His death was announced early yesterday morning on Twitter by one of his colleagues at work, Benedict Afagwu, also known as DJ Humility. While trying to break the news, DJ Humility tweeted, “Rest in peace Chaz B of Rhythm Fm.”
The deceased on-air-personality pinned on his Twitter page “Don’t look for God in the sky; look within your own body.”
Another fan on Facebook while trying to make known how Chaz B death got to her said: “Chaz B of Rhythm 93.7 (Sharing Life’s issues) passed on. Though it’s sad, we rejoice in the fact that he did walk the path of eternal life. Those words of wisdom, encouragement, excellence, discipline, prayer and love, would forever live in our heart. Go in peace, we love you.”
Chaz B was a Delta State student of Kings College, Lagos with more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry in the United States. He held an Advanced Business Management Certificate from North Technical Education Centre and an Associate of Science Degree in Hotel, Travel and Tourism Management from Miami Dade Community College, Florida.
The relationship coach two years ago, shared a powerful testimony of the time acute kidney disease nearly took his life. He shared the story of how he fought so hard, How he went to India for surgery and getting a kidney from his wife. Here is the video of his testimony two years back:
Chaz B who was in his mid-50s and was married with kids was on air on Friday before the tragic hands of death got him. So sad! May his soul rest in peace…amen
