Worst disease outbreaks in history

EBOLA
      Diseases have been unwanted escorts throughout the march of human history. The latest virus to make international headlines is Ebola, which has sickened almost 10,000 people in West Africa since March and killed about half of them, making it the worst outbreak of the virus in history, according to the World Health Organization. A critically ill surgeon who contracted Ebola while working to combat the outbreak in Sierra Leone became its second U.S. fatality after arriving in Nebraska for treatment.
