You Need To Know How Many MOUAU Graduands Passed Out With A Third Class Yesterday
Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike , Abia State has churned out a new set of graduates.
Punch reports that no fewer than 14 students made First Class Honors . The convocation which was held yesterday, Saturday 22nd of November saw 2,900 graduates being welcomed into a new world.
Aside from the 14 first class honors graduands, there were also 517 upper division graduands, 857 made lower division as 872, and 445 graduated with third class and pass respectively.
Among the graduands who comprised 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 sessions were 195 Masters and Ph.D holders. According to the President Goodluck Jonathan who was the Visitor to the university at the event, agriculture remained in the front burner of the present administration’s transformation agenda for national development.
Mr. President who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Dr. MacDonald Nwaobiala, commended the management of MOUAU for living up to its constitutional responsibility of training students on commercial agriculture and the modern trends in the sector .
In his speech, the Vice Chancellor Professor Hilary Edeoga, noted with delight, the prevailing peace and cordial relationship existing between staff, management and students of the institution.
It would be recalled that just recently, the Nigerian Law School recently released the 2013/2014 August result, and about 4,000 students were said to have failed the examination which is a prerequisite for them to be called to Bar.
