Omorodion,was alleged to have attacked his victim, one Ebuka, with a dagger and robbed him of N250,000 which he was going to deposit for his boss in one of the commercial banks along Faulks Road area of the city.
Sunday Vanguard gathered that the victim after being robbed raised the alarm which attracted passers-by who alerted men of the Police Mobile Force (PMF) on patrol in the area.
A senior Police officer who spoke on the condition of anonymity told our correspondent that the money has been recovered from the soldier.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abia State Command, Onyeke Udeviotu Ezekiel, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP, who confirmed the incident,said the matter has been transferred to the Aba Police Area Command for further investigation, adding that the authorities of the 14 Brigade have also been notified about the incident."
