D’banj Says He Was Not Harassed By Thugs

Pop star, D’banj has come out to dismiss reports that he was harassed by area boys around Apapa, Lagos, as allegedly claimed in media reports of September, 16.

In a press release from his rep, it is stated that D’banj was not mobbed by street thugs. Rather, the entertainer was surrounded by a mob of fans who were eager to greet him.

“What was wrongly reported as an attack by a mob of thugs was actually a mob of fans who had been eagerly waiting to see the Koko Master in person as he exited a factory in Apapa where he had been shooting a commercial” read the statement from his PR.

The statement also said “the crowd of close to a thousand were chanting and shouting songs from his yet to be released EP and lines such as “Baba Confidential” “Baba, who is knocking on Ur door” and “Baba we feeling the nikka“.

D’banj is set to release his visual EP titled “An Epic Journey” on September 28.
