Football’s world governing body, FIFA has announced that the 2015 Ballon d’Or awards ceremony will hold in Zurich on Monday, 11 January, 2016.
Some of the awards to be presented are the FIFA Ballon d’Or for the best male player, FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year trophy for the best female player and the FIFA Puskas award for the scorer of the best goal of the year( voted for by football fans via FIFA.com).
The best coaches in male and female football respectively will also receive awards for their achievement.
The FIFA Fair Play award will go to the organisation, team or individual that has inspired others with a special show of football sportsmanship.
The FIFA FIFPro World XI which will contain the best players of the year will also be announced.
The FIFA Presidential Award will be presented to an individual who has shown outstanding service to the game.
Cristiano Ronaldo won the 2014 Ballon d’Or Awards but is widely believed that Barcelona’s Lionel Messi will get the 2015 award after a brilliant footballing year.
