Five Killed As Hoodlums Storm Banks, Police Station

Five persons have been killed in robbery attacks on two new generation banks and a police station in Igarra Edo State.


Reacting to the incident the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike, said two of the suspects have been arrested following a reprisal operation where 15 assault weapons, motorcycles, vehicles, IEDs as well N4.4 million cash were also recovered.

He said the Police and Edo State Government are working on compensation plans for the families of the victims involved in the incident.
