Police Arrest 83 Biafria Protesters In Bayelsa

The Bayelsa state police command has said it has arrested 83 Biafria protesters in the state. According to the command’s spokesman Anisim Butswat, he said protesters were arrested during a flag-raising ceremony of the Biafra Movement on the Mbiama-Yenagoa road and are currently under investigation.

“Those arrested are at the criminal Investigation Department, CID for Investigations and interrogations,” Saharareporters quoted him.

Those arrested are 78 males and 5 females.

Earlier, hundreds of Biafran agitators have stormed the streets to demand the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra. Recall that the police had issued a warning to the Biafrans over their planned protest.
