NNPC Closes Down Kaduna And Port Harcourt Refineries

After continued attacks on pipelines supplying crude oil, NNPC has decide to shutdown operations of Kaduna and Port Harcourt refineries.

The spokesman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Ohi Alegbe disclosed that the Bonny-Okrika crude supply line to the Port Harcourt Refinery and the Escravos-Warri crude supply line to the Kaduna Refinery were the damaged pipelines.

The Kaduna and Port Harcourt refineries only returned to full operation recently and the pipeline attack will prove a huge setback to the NNPC.

Nevertheless, the NNPC says it is looking into “remedial measures to sustain the prevailing stability in the supply and distribution of petroleum products across the country,”
