Norwich City 4-5 Liverpool: Liverpool brace complete TWO amazing comebacks to spark wild celebrations in nine-goal thriller

What a way to snatch a game; what a way to wreck Steven Naismith’s day. He had been exceptional for Norwich, the driving force as they fought back from Roberto Firmino’s opener.
Dieumerci Mbokani had hit the leveller with a backheel, before Naismith scored the second and then won a penalty, which Wes Hoolahan converted. Some way to repay the £8.5m paid earlier in the week.

But just as quickly as Norwich came back, they crumbled. Jordan Henderson made it 3-2 and Firmino got his second for 3-3. James Milner appeared to win it late on, before Sebastien Bassong levelled with a minute to go. Then up popped Adam Lallana with the last kick of the game and bedlam. It was absurd and insane.
Klopp could barely stand and Alex Neil could barely look. Such dreadful defending and such entertaining attacking. Of 12 shots on target, nine were goals.
And just like that, Liverpool, who had scored once in four previous away games, had five and a win. Klopp must keep that perspective when he tries to pick the bones out of this one.
Their first significant chance, having spent the initial stages teasing and irritating Norwich’s full-backs, came after 17 minutes when Sebastien Bassong made the mistake of letting a high ball bounce at his side. That allowed Roberto Firmino a chance to nudge him aside and take sight at goal, but he shot early and missed the target. A wasted chance.
He atoned a moment later with a slightly scuffed finish at the end of a quite lovely move. Alberto Moreno was central to the attack, advancing possession down the left before cutting the ball inside to James Milner.
The England midfielder took a touch, had a look and rolled a pass precisely through Norwich’s backline and to Firmino, who was played onside by Robbie Brady. The Brazilian didn’t strike cleanly but scored via Declan Rudd’s toe and the inside of the far post.
