Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is said to be quitting The X Factor in order to focus on her music career.
According to The Sun, the 32-year-old allegedly revealed her plans to close friend and show boss Simon over dinner in Hollywood last week.
A source told the publication: ‘They have had many discussions about the new series but she finally made up her mind.’They added: ‘Her relationship with Simon is the best it’s ever been and they both are incredibly supportive of each other’.
The
insider claimed that there wasn’t any fallout with Simon about her
decision, after Simon famously fired Cheryl from the US version of the
show in 2011 which resulted in a long-running feud between the two.
The source claimed that Cheryl wants to put her focus solely on her music career after putting it on hold to mentor acts on the show.
Cheryl, who is expected to release new music before the end of the year, is currently working on new material in Los Angeles while she spends some quality time with new boyfriend Liam Payne
