Glo appoints Williams as brand ambassador

Globacom has signed up media entrepreneur, Adebola Williams, as an ambassador for the company.

The company said in a statement that the signing up of Williams, 30, indicated a new resolve of the company to widen its scope to include younger, hard working Nigerians “whose exploits in entrepreneurship and allied endeavours are providing inspiration to the coming generation.”
Williams has already taken up the role by featuring in the company’s television commercial, which has started airing on some national and international broadcast stations.

The statement added, “Globacom wishes to demonstrate to Nigerian youths that without being in sports and entertainment, they can still be rewarded and celebrated so long as they show diligence in their chosen areas of endeavour, especially entrepreneurship.

“Williams, co-owner of highly successful brands, including Red Media Africa, The Future Awards Africa and YNaija.com, amongst others, played a significant role in the rebranding of President Muhammadu Buhari. Also,he was reputed to be one of the brains behind some of the president’s youth-oriented campaign events.
