The United boss travelled to Croatia to meet with the representatives of the Inter Milan midfielder who has been linked with a move away from the San Siro with host of European top clubs monitoring his situation.
Earlier reports that claim that Jose Mourinho boarded a plane to Croatia to seal a move for the 28-year-old attacking midfielder and the reports have been confirmed after the Portuguese boss was spotted with Mijatovic alongside, Montegerin who had worked with Mourinho during his years at Real Madrid in 2009.
Ivan Perisic has been ruled out for Croatia’s game against Ukraine in the World Cup qualifying series, but a deal for the winger could materialise following the meeting between Mourinho and his agent, according to Croatian outlet Index.hr
There are reports that Manchester United have handed a transfer kit worth around £150million in a bid to return the club to its glory days. Last summer, the Red Devils broke the world record, capturing Paul Pogba from Juventus after signing the likes of Henrikh Mhkitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly.
