See Photos and Video Interview of the second woman who attempted to Jumped Inside the Lagos Lagoon on friday

 An elderly woman who was rescued by Fishermen from committing suicide at the Ebute Ero end of the Lagos Lagoon where she had already jumped inside, has spoken out on the reason behind her decision.

Mrs. Abigael Ogunyinka was rescued by fishermen in Lagos Lagoon early on Friday morning, after she jumped inside in a suicide attempt and was handed over to the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos state Police Command.


While speaking in an exclusive interview with TVC News, the old woman who sells amala said she decided to end it all after her she was unable to pay a N150,000 loan she obtained from a Microfinance bank, adding that the shame and embarrassment would be too much for her to face

When asked why she went with a little girl to end her life by jumping inside the lagoon, she said it was to ensure that someone would tell the family that she had jumped inside the lagoon.
