1. Clem Onyeka

The life of this prominent Nollywood actor ended tragically. He was shot dead in Abuja on 14th of October after being caught in the middle of a shootout between the police and armed robbers. His friend and colleague, Zubechi Onyia said, “I am sad that Clem died when he should be celebrated as the best up-and-coming actor this year. It was painful watching Clem die!”
2. Taiwo of the Oshadipe Twins

Taiwo Oshadipe, one of the Oshadipe Twins, died in the beginning of October 2014, after a brief illness. She and her twin sister were still enjoying the popularity of their hit ‘Dide Olorun mi’ when she passed.
3. Chaz B

With Chaz B gone, Nigerian radio will never be the same. Charles Bruce Chukwuma was a broadcasting icon. His programme Sharing Life Issues With Chaz B aired from Monday to Friday at 5.30-7.oo pm on Rhythm 93.7 FM. A lot of people had been motivated and inspired by his words. He received the Best On Air Personality in Radio at the 2010 Nigerian Media Merit Awards. Chaz B died in November 2014 after a protracted illness.
4. Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh

Dr Ameyo Stella Adadevoh

Dr. Mrs Adadevoh will be remembered as a true heroine who prevented Ebola index patient, Patrick Sawyer, from leaving the hospital where he was quarantined, and spreading the disease all over Lagos streets. She died after contacting the disease from Sawyer.
5. Dora Akunyili

Dora Akunyili

Mrs. Akunyili was a former chief of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control who reformed the sector of food and drugs. Dora was also the Minister of Information and Communication from 2008 till 2010. She will be remembered for her approach in fighting the scrounge of fake food and drug items, which was a huge problem for all Nigerians. She died at the age of 59.

Irikefe Don Momoh will be fondly remember as Kefee, a Nigerian gospel superstar. Many Nigerians have been affected by her amazing music. She was awarded the International Young Ambassador for Peace Award in 2009. She died of lung failure in a Los Angeles hospital, United States, on June 12, 2014, after being in coma for fifteen days. Her music is timeless and will be remembered for decades.
7. Amaka Igwe

Amaka Igwe

Mrs. Igwe was a cinematographer genius of Nollywood, the owner of Top Radio 90.9 FM, as well as Q Entertainment, the first Nigerian drama series channel. A lot of Nigerians were glued to their TV sets watching series made by her. Amaka Igwe passed away at the age of 51 in April 2014. She will forever remain as one of the masterminds behind the phenomenon that is known today as Nollywood.
