A young girl tried to commit suicide this morning by drinking Sniper (a locally made insecticide) in the Okaka-Epie area of Yenagoa in Bayelsa state.
According to report, the girl had a fight with her sister, after which she drank the sniper.
She was however spotted by a young boy who saw her rolling in agony on the grass.
He then raised an alarm, which attracted neighbours who fed her with red oil.
She was later rushed to a hospital.
The girl is expected to survive.
