Rivers State Governor, Gov. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi on Monday condoled with President Goodluck Jonathan and his family over the death of his younger sister, Nancy Jonathan-Olei.
He sympathized with President Jonathan in a condolence statement by his Press Secretary, David Iyofor on Monday.
“We understand the pain and grief of losing a loved one,” the statement said.
“The pain of an untimely death is immeasurable, and we pray that God grant Mr. President and the entire family of the bereaved the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”.
He said that the prayers and thoughts of Rivers people were with Mr President and the family of the bereaved in their moment of grief.
“We also pray that the soul of the deceased rest in the bosom of the Almighty”, he added.
