                              The woman had set up a secret camera in their flat in Sao Paulo, Brazil, although it is unclear why she was suspicious of her boyfriend.
                              At first, the man appears to be playing with the dog, but his behaviour is about to take a shocking turn.
                            Identified as Rafael Hermida, the man begins head butting the dog, seemingly without being provoked, before holding it up in the air by its back legs. He then appears to drop the French bulldog on its head before the poor pooch runs away and hides under the table.

After viewing the footage, the woman swiftly called off the engagement and ended the relationship, according to a report broadcast on Brazilian TV show More You, uk mirror reports.

The man, who is thought to work in a bar in Rio de Janeiro, is thought to be giving evidence at a civil court this week.
