Cordell Broadus, an highly touted freshman wide receiver at UCLA who happens to be Snoop Dogg’s son, has decided to quit football.
The news surfaced early Friday morning and was confirmed by Bruins coach Jim Mora.
“Cordell informed me yesterday that he has decided to pursue other passions in his life – in particular his love of film through his company Film School Productions. Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree at UCLA.”
Broadus was a 4-star recruit with several Division I offers, including one from his father’s favorite team USC. In one of the best National Signing Day reveals last February, Snoop Dogg went on ESPN with his son wearing a rival Bruins jersey in support of Broadus.
Broadus will stay enrolled at UCLA, pursuing his other interests. .
