Ibrahim Ogunkoya, a 19-year-old football player, has been charged to court for the alleged murder of his rival, Toyin Eniola, for snatching his girlfriend.
The teenager, who was remanded at the Ebute-Metta Chief Magistrates Court sitting at Oyingbo, Lagos state, was arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and murder.
African Seer reports that the magistrate, O O Fowowe-Erusiafe, ordered that Ogunkoya be remanded in prison custody following the prosecutor, Inspector Gbemileke Agoi’s testimony that the defendant stabbed Eniola in his armpit because he had snatched his girlfriend.
The court refused to take the defendant’s plea as the case was adjourned to October 19 for hearing.
