President Muhammadu Buhari is about to make a three-day visit to France to meet with the top French officials and discuss some very important things.
Muhammadu Buhari leaves Abuja tomorrow for a three-day official visit to Paris at the invitation of president of France Francois Hollande and other senior French Government officials.
They are going to discuss the issues of defence, security and economic relations. Besides Buhari is about to have meetings with the French Minister of Defence, Jean-Yves Le Drian, the French Minister of Finance and Public Accounts, Michel Sapin, the French Minister of Economy and Industry, Emmanuel Macron and the French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, Laurent Fabius.
The President wants to attract French investors to Nigeria and with that purpose he will visit thehHeadquarters of MEDEF, France’s largest federation of investors and employers.
Before he concludes his visit to France on Wednesday, September, 16, and return to Abuja, Buhari will also have the meetings with the top management of biggest French multinational companies on their future investments in Nigeria. The President also plans to have an interactive session with members of the Nigerian community in France.
Earlier the Nigerian Federal Government has already been advised by the defence minister of France to set up a military liaison committee with its neighbouring countries to better coordinate their response to the growing regional threat posed by the Boko Haram sect.
