About 551 indigenes of Borno state, who were displaced by Boko Haram insurgency, have returned from Cameroon where they ran to.

They were transported back by the National Emergency Management Agency in collaboration with the Borno state Emergency Management Agency (BOSEMA), PR Nigeria reports.

The Zonal coordinator of NEMA, Alh Muhammad Kanar accompanied by Borno state Sema executive director, Alh Bulama Dawud were at Njimtilo check point which is the entry point of maiduguri metropolis to coordinate the reception of the returnees by humanitarian workers.

Security checks were also conducted by the military.

They were transported back by NEMA in collaboration with the Borno state Emergency Management Agency (BOSEMA).

The returnees are to be camped at the Gubio road housing estate IDP camp set up by Borno state government and the agency.

Recall that in August, 600 returnees had been transported back to Borno.

Some days back, NEMA camp in Fufore, Adamawa state, had received another 650 Nigerians sent back home from Cameroon.
